Naturalists
Naturalists Club
The Naturalists Club emphasises portraying 'how interesting biology is' to the undergrads. We conduct lecture sessions led by professors from various departments (and institutes), as well as tours to nature hubs in Bangalore, hands-on lab sessions, and more, to offer a glimpse into the vastness of life. We conduct paper presentation competitions and journal club sessions to improve presentation and critical thinking skills. Our newsletter, named 'Biosphere', containing interesting research works, is published in order to promote scientific communication among all. Apart from that, we have a dedicated support group where people can interact with each other, including alumni, and discuss biology, ranging from academics to lab protocols. We also hold interaction sessions with alumni and admission officials to prepare everyone for selecting and applying to different colleges/career paths after the undergraduate degree.
This year we conducted the following events:
- Talk on Fantastic Summer Projects and How to Find Them
- Open Day 2025
