Selection Process
Undergraduate Education Rooted in Research Excellence
IISc has entered into a MoU with Joint Implementation Committee of JEE Advanced (2026) for selection of candidates for the BTech programs through JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority).
Proposed program Intake:

Note:
The above intake is tentative. The Dean (UG) may be authorised to modify the programme-wise intake, if required, in accordance with JoSAA Business Rules.
Eligibility
Candidates must satisfy the eligibility criteria, including performance in the Class 12 or equivalent examination, as prescribed in the JoSAA Business Rules for admission to IITs applicable for the relevant academic year.
Reservation Policy
The Institute shall follow the reservation norms, including supernumerary seats for various categories (e.g. female, foreign national/OCI(F)/DS etc), strictly in accordance with the JoSAA Business Rules.
Admission Procedure
- Admissions to all B.Tech programmes shall be conducted through JoSAA 2026.
- Candidates are required to register, fill choices, and participate only through the JoSAA portal.
- No separate application is required to be submitted on the IISc admission portal for B.Tech admissions.
