Databased
Undergraduate Computer Science crew
Databased is the undergraduate Computer Science crew at IISc. We're a community of students passionate about diving deep into the world of computer science and related fields. We're here to provide a comprehensive resource for beginners to learn, grow, and create.
We organise regular talks by students and PhD scholars on various topics in Computer Science, weekly Competitive Programming sessions and regularly collaborate with external organisations for undergraduate-focused CS-related events.
Events and Activities held in AY 2025-26:
1. Hack & Seek: A treasure hunt themed event introducing various computer science techniques and topics in cryptography and the like. The event, aimed at freshers but open to all, saw over 140 participants battle it out over a 36-hour duration over figuring out fun puzzles with no coding prerequisites.
2. DBD Fest ’25: Databased’s annual flagship event to celebrate the culture of research inspiring students to explore various domains in CS. Students pick up key ideas in CS, present these before peers and offer attendees a great opportunity to get a broad view of the scope of Computer Science.
