Amalgam is the UG Materials Club, with its aim to familiarise, engage, and showcase the UG Students of IISc with the fascinating world of Materials Science as an interdisciplinary subject with rapid development and excellent opportunities. From talk series conducted to discuss novel and cutting-edge technologies in the field, to having interaction sessions with esteemed professors and alums to help undergraduate students make the right choice! Several interesting topics, such as electron microscopy, computational materials, neuromorphic computing, and high-temperature superconductors, have been discussed previously.
